Transcriptionist – Medical Scribe – Full Time – Mille Lacs Health System, Onamia, MN

This position is onsite at our Onamia, MN location. Transcribes/scribes all dictation (both recorded and live) as assigned to provide a permanent record of patient care.

• Transcribes medical documents with accuracy, speed and timeliness (may include ER, clinic, hospital, therapy, etc.). *
• Transcribes documents with expected turn‑around time in accordance with policy.
• Take notes during patient visits and documents them in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Completes transcriptions with a 98% accuracy rate.*
• Ensures all documents have correct format.*
• Maintains 150 lines of transcription per hour.
• Uses proper English, grammar and punctuation at all times.*
• Processes and routes transcribed documents and copies.
• Prints and distributes documents per protocol.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be accurate and proficient in keyboard and medical terminology.
• Two years of experience in general medical transcription or medical scribing required.

• Graduate and/or certification from a transcription or medical secretary program or equivalent experience preferred.

20 to 40 hour work week. May include weekends on a rotational basis.

Position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
