This Position is Medical and/or Dental Benefit Eligible.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:- Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students across the district.
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations in alignment with state and federal special education requirements.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect students' communication needs.
- Provide therapy in individual, small-group, and/or classroom-based formats.
- Collaborate with special education teams, general education staff, and families to support student success in communication-related goals.
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation, including progress reports, evaluation reports, third-party billing reports, and service logs.
- Participate in child study teams, evaluation planning, IEP meetings, and professional learning opportunities.
- Support AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) systems when appropriate and provide training for staff and families.
- Adhere to district, state, and federal policies regarding special education services.
Skills:
- Strong foundation in school-based speech-language services and evidence-based practices.
- Knowledge of articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders and their impact on learning.
- Experience with AAC tools and assistive technology is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage caseload responsibilities and maintain compliance timelines.
- Familiarity with due process systems such as SpEd Forms (preferred).
