Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
• Active West Virginia SLP license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred.

• Experience with dysphagia management and instrumental assessments (e.g., modified barium swallow, FEES) preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and skilled documentation for Medicare and regulatory compliance preferred.

Shift hours: . Work days include Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat per VMS work days. May be required to float to other facilities within the region.

You will support residents in a skilled nursing environment, providing skilled evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and caregiver education. Your interventions will aim to improve quality of life, safety, and functional communication and swallowing outcomes while complying with facility and regulatory standards.
