Our nursing home community is searching for an Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team.

We’re looking for a caring and compassionate person who would love to make a difference in peoples' lives. We’re looking for an individual who truly cares about making our community the best home possible for our residents.

• 1 part-time position in our rehabilitation and long term care neighborhoods and/or our memory care neighborhood. Every other weekend - shifts are 10 am to 4 pm.

This is a great opportunity for a high school student or someone looking to spend time and be involved with the well-being of our geriatric population! It is a very rewarding environment!

• Create and provide activities of therapeutic value.
• Targeting group activities that will provide educational value, mental, physical and sensory stimulation (i.e. crafts, current events, 1 to 1's, game time, baking, outside entertainment, bingo, discussion groups, active games, etc.).
• Complete daily paper work as directed.

Three to four years of high school, basic everyday living skills, the ability to understand and follow directions, and the ability to read, write, add and subtract are required.

Belle Plaine is a 60-bed skilled nursing facility that comprises of a Transitional Care Unit (TCU), Long-Term Care (LTC) and memory care.
