Bilingual Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor
We are seeking a Bilingual Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor for Primer Paso in Northfield, MN. Primer Paso provides inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment services for Spanish-speaking individuals. ResponsibilitiesEducation: Bachelor's degree in social work, nursing, sociology, human services, psychology, or a related field; or licensed registered nurse. Must have completed 120 hours of classroom instruction in core functions per Minnesota Statutes, chapter 148F, and 880 hours of supervised experience as an alcohol and drug counselor.
License & Certifications: Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor or ADC-T.
Additional Skills and Requirements- Must be bilingual (Spanish)
- Two years of freedom from problematic substance use
- Ability to pass DHS Background Study
- Experience in chemical use assessment, client interviewing, screening, case management, treatment planning, social services, referrals, record-keeping, and confidentiality regulations.
- Knowledge of individual and group counseling, including crisis intervention.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
