Job Purpose and SummaryAs a Pharmacy Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service that exceeds expectations.
Technicians operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication, demonstrating genuine care and contributing to a safe and inclusive culture.
Once in role, technicians are required to complete rigorous training and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to state Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation and helping pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; offering immunizations and other services; and solving or escalating patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities: accurately put away medication deliveries and complete cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team: embrace a growth mindset, be receptive to feedback, and actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
- Remain flexible for both scheduling and business needs, including traveling to stores in the market as needed.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing offsite clinics) where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification.
- Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist‑on‑duty.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions; report events per public health requirements.
- Review and collect patient information; track and document each applicable patient.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification). If no minimum age or educational requirement is stated, must be at least 16 years old and have a high school diploma, equivalency, or be enrolled in high school or equivalency program.
- State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: look for ways to help people in a friendly manner; notice and respond to patient reactions.
- Communication

use verbal and written communication; practice active listening and provide clear instructions. - Mathematical Reasoning: use math to determine medication quantities and supplies.
- Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose the best action.
- Physical Demands: remain mobile, stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, use hands and arms for small tasks, and see clearly.
- Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
- 1‑3 years of prior Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour (base hourly rate)
