Nursing Assistant

Essentia Health is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant/Environmental Services team member to support patient-centered care in our integrated health system. In this dual role, you will assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, mobility, and comfort under the guidance of nursing staff. You will also contribute to a safe, healing environment by performing routine cleaning, waste removal, and sanitization in patient rooms and clinical areas.

Working closely with a collaborative care team, you'll help ensure high standards of safety, infection control, and service while growing your skills in a supportive, mission-driven workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, and assisting with mobility under nursing supervision
• Maintain clean, safe, and stocked patient rooms and common areas per infection control standards
• Support environmental services by handling routine cleaning, waste removal, and sanitation tasks
• Monitor and promptly report patient condition changes and safety concerns to nursing staff
• Assist with transporting patients, equipment, and supplies within the facility
• Document care activities accurately in accordance with Essentia Health policies
• Follow safety, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines at all times
• Collaborate with nurses, environmental services, and care teams to support patient-centered care
