Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technicians play an essential role in delivering safe, effective, and efficient healthcare. Thrifty White Pharmacy offers an industry‑leading Pharmacy Technician-in-Training (PT‑IT) program that allows technicians to practice at the top of their license, including opportunities for immunization certification and long‑term care pharmacy experience.
Training ProgramBecome a PT‑IT and enroll in our Board of Pharmacy approved training program. Work part‑time or full‑time while you learn the fundamentals, receiving top‑notch online modules, internal video trainings, and hands‑on instruction from a designated preceptor—at no cost.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient service and build loyalty.
- Champion Thrifty White programs such as Ready Refill, Medication Synchronization, and Healthy Pack Rx , and assist with patient enrollment.
- Support pharmacists in clinical service offerings.
- Count, measure, and package medication under pharmacist supervision, ensuring accurate prescription fills.
- Enter prescriptions into the computer system for transmission to insurance companies.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Long periods of standing; frequently touch, hear, use hands and fingers, handle or operate tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Requires good vision including close, distance, peripheral, and color vision.
CompensationHourly wages: PT‑IT $14.85 – $20.00;
Registered Tech $15.85 – $24.00;
Certified Tech $16.35 – $25.50.
