Muslim Chaplain – Full Time (32 hrs/week)

Shift: Day;
Saturday coverage required. Flexible scheduling available. Salary: $53,705.60 – $67,142.40 annualized (based on 0.8 FTE). Benefit: $5.00/hour weekend differential; paid time off (PTO) eligible.

• Provide spiritual care to Muslim patients and families.
• Offer spiritual support to patients, families, and clinical staff of all faiths.
• Advocate for patients and families within the healthcare team.
• Educate healthcare teams on the impact of Muslim religious/spiritual beliefs on coping and medical decision‑making.
• Teach colleagues about Islam and Islamic culture.
• Cultivate relationships with local Muslim leaders and communities.

• Graduate‑level theological degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education through an ACPE‑accredited board.
• Ordination, current endorsement, or good standing with a Muslim faith tradition or endorsing agency.
• Board certification (or eligibility) recognized by an association such as the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Association of Professional Chaplains, Canadian Association for Spiritual Care, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or Neshama Association of Jewish Chaplains.
• Within three years of hire, submit an application for board certification with the appropriate faith group or governing body.
• 2–4 years of chaplaincy experience preferred.
• Arabic language skills or additional spoken language proficiency, in addition to English, preferred.
