The Technician provides support to the Pharmacist and the Pharmacy Department in accordance with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy’s laws and regulation. Pharmacy Technicians take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients while demonstrating ethical conduct and always maintaining patient privacy.
This role will make regular rounds throughout our Glencoe campus filling crash carts, floor supplies, and delivering medications. It will also assist with entering and filling Long Term Care orders as well as employee prescriptions through our internal retail pharmacy.
Job Qualifications- Registered and Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
- Strong computer knowledge and business skillset desired; preferred background in medical and pharmacy terminology.
- Previous EMR experience helpful;
Excellian knowledge a plus! - Exceptional people skills: strong communication skillset and attention to detail required.
- Ability to work independently and as an active member of the team while always maintaining patient confidentiality.
- No history of drug addiction or misuse
On-Call hours vary as needed, as available and are not regularly scheduled. The tech would pick up hours as they become available within the department.
