In this vital role, you will prepare and cook nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, ensuring their dietary needs and preferences are met with care and attention. • Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and meal plans for nursing home residents.
• Ensure all food is prepared safely and meets quality standards.
• Assist in menu planning and accommodate special diets as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations.

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets typical in nursing home settings.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
• HOURS of shift are 10:30am-7pm
