This role supports patients, associates, and third-party payers by efficiently managing Patient Access and Revenue Cycle responsibilities.

• Handles pre-registration for all patient types, ensuring no duplicate medical record or account numbers are created. Tasks include gathering demographic and insurance details via phone or during pre-procedure visits, entering data into systems, and preparing patient-specific packets.
• Manages patient registrations accurately by scanning insurance cards, verifying and entering demographic and insurance information, assembling necessary paperwork, coordinating room assignments with nursing or bed control units, obtaining required signatures, guiding patients to appropriate departments, addressing special diagnosis cases such as infectious patients, providing patients with informational brochures about their rights and responsibilities, and completing Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires.
• Reviews and edits registrations before forwarding to billing.
• Processes patient transfers and discharges.
• Follows up on outstanding signatures, Medicaid eligibility, and Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire completion.

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required or in progress, with a focus on office skills.
2. Vocational training or on-the-job experience in computer operations and switchboard use is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare business office procedures is advantageous.

Work Shift:

4th Shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States. Scheduled for 40 hours weekly.
