Job Description & How to Apply Below

Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist near Milaca, MN. Your expertise will be highly valued in an educational setting dedicated to making a meaningful impact on children's communication skills. This position offers an exciting mix: you'll begin with a long-term substitute assignment for approximately 10 weeks starting in October, working with students at the elementary level, and then transition into a flexible 2-day-per-week schedule thereafter.

Qualifications

& Desired Experience
  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current CCC‑SLP certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for SLP licensure in Minnesota
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP process, documentation, and progress tracking
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and students
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches for a diverse elementary student population
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language and hearing screenings and evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative services in a supportive school environment
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports, contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a cohesive support network for each student
  • Participate in professional development as needed to uphold best practices

Enjoy a contract role designed for flexibility—especially after the initial 10-week assignment—with the support of a collaborative educational team. If you’re committed to fostering student growth and communication development, and enjoy the variety that comes with school-based SLP work, this could be the perfect fit for you.
