Location: Canby
ASCP Radiation Oncology Manager, RT(T) or RN
This leadership role oversees radiation oncology operations, staff coordination, and partnership management within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. The manager ensures efficient department functioning, fiscal responsibility, and quality patient care while fostering strong collaboration with clinical teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and productivity to meet unit needs.
- Utilize automated systems to monitor employee hours, approve overtime, and arrange coverage for absences.
- Contribute to budget preparation and monitor expenditures to minimize variances.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiation oncology coding, billing, and relevant legislative changes.
- Oversee quality assurance activities, including participation in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, ancillary services, and partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain accreditation standards such as CoC, NAPBC, and ASTRO APEx.
- Facilitate cancer care committees, conferences, and tumor registry programs.
- Promote patient satisfaction through rounding, timely responses, service recovery, and relationship-based care.
- Ensure patient rights are respected and serve as a liaison for cancer programming partnerships.
- Develop and monitor policies to enhance patient safety and staff compliance with best practices.
- Encourage professional growth by supporting staff education, certifications, and participation in professional organizations.
- Exemplify excellent customer service and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Radiation Therapy is required.
Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred, with management and oncology experience highly desirable.
This position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering teamwork and professional excellence within a dynamic healthcare environment in the Midwest region.
