The primary purpose of the Director of Clinical Revenue, Assisted Living is to provide clinical revenue integrity, staffing and care-margin optimization, technology utilization, and accurate service capture across Assisted Living communities. This role connects resident acuity, documented services, staffing deployment, billing, and financial performance to help ensure communities deliver appropriate care and capture revenue accurately and consistently.

The Director serves as a clinical and operational resource, system business owner, trainer, auditor, and coach across the Assisted Living portfolio.

This position requires flexibility to travel up to 75% to various Assisted Living locations throughout the United States. The candidate is preferred to be based out of MN, however we are flexible to those candidates based in FL, SD, OR, AZ, or MT.

Essential Job Functions

• Monitor and routinely audit resident services, billing, care revenue, labor utilization, and care-margin performance to ensure services are appropriately assessed, documented, delivered, billed, and aligned with resident care needs.
• Identify revenue leakage, operational inefficiencies, and community outliers, and collaborate with Clinical Services and Operations to improve staffing alignment, revenue capture, and financial performance.
• Define reporting requirements, validate data accuracy, and translate staffing, service, billing, Medicaid, and financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Serve as a business owner and subject matter expert for Service Minder functionality, configuration standards, service catalogs, workflows, and revenue-related best practices.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to ALF teams on documentation expectations, service plan accuracy, reimbursement workflows, ancillary revenue capture, and audit readiness.
• Lead the clinical revenue workstream for acquisitions and new communities, including Service Minder setup, training, workflow design, billing readiness, and post-implementation support.
• Standardize clinical revenue workflows, tools, reporting, and best practices to improve consistency, accountability, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes across communities.
• Support annual budgeting, care revenue forecasting, and care-margin planning by providing analysis and recommendations related to resident acuity, staffing models, and service utilization.
• Monitor applicable Assisted Living Reimbursement, Medicaid, documentation, and regulatory requirements and partner with operational and clinical leaders to implement necessary process changes.
• Conduct focused community reviews and site visits as needed and provide concise recommendations, action plans, and follow-up to support sustained performance improvement.

Knowledge and Critical Skills
