LOCATION: In-office in either our Montevideo or Granite Falls location, with some travel necessary
SALARY RANGE: $19 to $22 / hour

As the Human Resources Intern, you will support the RITALKA HR team across multiple functional areas including recruiting, onboarding, training, HR systems and compliance. This generalist internship will provide hands-on experience and exposure to a wide variety of Human Resource functions supporting manufacturing, engineering, and professional teams. The intern works closely with HR team members and contribute to meaningful projects that support employees across RITALKA's companies and locations.
What you'll do as an HR Intern:
- Recruitment: Assist with posting open positions online and career platforms; support interview scheduling; help maintain applicant tracking records
- Onboarding: Prepare offer letters and new hire documentation; coordinate orientation logistics; prepare hiring packets for new employees; organize new hire forms
- Training: Assist with scheduling and attendance tracking
- HR Systems & Reporting: Run routine and ad hoc reports; assist with data audits to ensure system accuracy; support general system maintenance and documentation.
- Compliance: Assist with audits and data review to ensure compliance with company policy and employment regulations.
- Assist in the organization and set-up of employee events and company recreation activities
- Assist and/or lead HR-focused projects as needed
What we're looking for:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Working knowledge of modern methods and techniques in personnel administration and their application in the day- to-day working environment
- Excellent interpersonal abilities with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image
- Self-motivated and comfortable handling multifaceted projects
- Resourceful and well organized
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
