Human Resources Generalist | St. James, MN | $55K–$72K + Sign-On Bonus
The OpportunityA growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support employees and site leadership in a hands-on, onsite environment. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being visible on the production floor, partnering with leadership, and helping employees navigate day-to-day HR needs.
You’ll support employee relations, labor relations, HR compliance, workforce planning, HRIS, recruiting, benefits, engagement, and HR operations while helping drive a positive employee experience.
What You’ll Do- Partner with site leadership on day-to-day HR operations and employee relations
- Support workplace investigations, employee concerns, and HR documentation
- Assist with hourly employee retention, attendance, and workforce planning
- Track and analyze HR metrics to support business decisions
- Support onboarding, orientation, training, and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist employees with FMLA, LOA, ADA, benefits, and HR systems
- Support labor relations
, including grievances, documentation, and compliance - Maintain accurate HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping records
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on requisitions, hiring, and recruiting initiatives
- Support compliance audits, reporting, job fairs, temporary staffing, and HR projects
- Assist with DE&I and affirmative action initiatives
- Maintain a visible HR presence and regularly interact with employees on the production floor
- Provide support and guidance to junior HR team members as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
, plus 2+ years of HR experience; equivalent experience considered - Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience supporting employee relations, benefits, compensation, and HR programs
- Experience with HRIS, payroll/timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters
- Professional, approachable, and employee-focused communication style
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or field environment
- Manufacturing or field-based HR experience
- Workday or similar HCM experience
- Bilingual Spanish or another language
- 401(k)
