IT Support Specialist opportunity, where you’ll help set up and maintain technology for employees at different company sites, including offices, warehouses, and production areas. You will work under guidance to help ensure that everyone has the technology they need and receive support with basic computer or software issues.
Key Responsibilities- Review new support requests and follow directions to prioritize daily tasks.
- Use a ticketing system to update and track requests as you work on them.
- Assist in providing basic technical help at multiple locations, responding quickly to user needs.
- Set up and help with devices, like computers, barcode scanners, and printers, following simple instructions or checklists.
- Support users with everyday operating system and software questions (Windows, Office, etc.).
- Help with user accounts, passwords, and email access under supervision.
- Work with the IT team to report larger issues and help solve problems on-site, following guidance.
- Help prepare new computers for use and assist with equipment upgrades (mostly following detailed steps).
- Help create and keep step-by-step guides, checklists, and instruction sheets up to date.
- Work on basic tasks for IT projects as needed.
- Be ready to occasionally help with after-hours support if asked.
- General knowledge of computers, printers, and basic networking is helpful but not required; training is provided.
- Comfortable learning to use Windows or Mac computers and basic office programs (like Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Willingness to develop customer service and communication skills.
- Able to follow instructions, work independently, and ask for help when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year technical degree or some IT coursework is a plus but not required.
- Preferrable some IT work experience such as internships, coursework, or related school projects.
- Some manual work, such as setting up equipment, may be needed.
- Must be able to carry or move computer equipment (up to 40 pounds).
- Work may be performed in offices, warehouses, or light industrial spaces.
- Occasional travel between company locations is possible.
