• The Principal Engineer serves as the senior technical authority for a large‑scale enterprise voice and endpoint ecosystem spanning 400+ locations, 50,000 endpoints, and 8 independent Cisco Unified Communications environments.
• This role provides architectural leadership, drives modernization, ensures platform reliability, and guides engineering teams in delivering a resilient, secure, and scalable communications infrastructure.
• Applies expert networking knowledge to research, recommend, design, architect, and implement complex multi-vendor network solutions for the organization.
• Responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements, identifying broad network design issues, and providing solutions that meet the organization’s needs.
• Leads the technical design and implementation of the organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and network security, to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
• Develops and implements network policies, procedures, and standards that align with industry best practices.
• Provides technical leadership and mentorship to other network engineers. Collaborates with IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to understand their network requirements and provide solutions.
• Develops and maintains network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Keeps abreast of emerging network technologies, trends, and best practices; provides proactive recommendations about future state goals and technologies.
• Works with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement new network technologies, tools, and services.
• Develops disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the networking infrastructure.
• Leads numerous concurrent network projects to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborates with infrastructure and security architects, network engineers, business analysts, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects and proactive maintenance.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field required.
• Eight years experience in network engineering with at least two years in a senior or principal level role.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with network routing, switching, LAN/WAN, wireless, network design and architecture, network protocols, and network security.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor network engineers.
• Advanced networking certifications desired.
