Overview
Brooksource is seeking a Manufacturing IT Site Support Specialist to support our valued partner, a global leader in agricultural and food manufacturing. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a proactive IT professional who thrives in dynamic manufacturing environments and enjoys being the go-to resource for IT operations, infrastructure, and project delivery. As the point of contact for multiple manufacturing sites, you will serve as the trusted advisor and liaison between plant operations and enterprise IT.
You'll ensure the health and performance of manufacturing IT systems, drive infrastructure improvements, and support cross-functional initiatives that align with business needs.

- Build strong relationships with site personnel and act as their advocate within IT.
- Monitor and maintain the health of manufacturing IT systems across multiple locations.
- Manage and escalate IT service requests, removing roadblocks and ensuring timely resolution.
- Assess and improve plant-level IT infrastructure, including hardware, connectivity, and documentation.
- Provide onsite support for IT equipment and coordinate project efforts across teams.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation including network diagrams, hardware/software inventories, and architecture maps.
- Serve as a functional expert on IT tools, processes, and integration of plant equipment with enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with sites to develop IT roadmaps aligned with operational goals.
- Coordinate activities with third-party vendors, offshore support teams, and other internal stakeholders.
- Participate in disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BCP), and configuration management (CMDB) efforts.
- Capture and document lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, or a related technical field.
- 9+ years of hands-on experience supporting manufacturing IT environments, including hardware (workstations, tablets, servers, firewalls, barcode scanners) and software systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing infrastructure best practices and IT standards.
- Experience with ERP, MES, LIMS/LAB, QC/SPC, PLM, EAM, EHS, Training, and Time Keeping systems.
- Operational knowledge of connectivity to devices such as PLCs, DCS, scales, conveyors, ovens, and serial interfaces.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across all levels of the manufacturing hierarchy (L1–L4).
- Familiarity with agricultural manufacturing processes and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience working in ITIL-aligned environments and structured project delivery frameworks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for both IT and OT stakeholders.
- Experience in global enterprise IT environments with multi-vendor support models.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
