In the 80s, the best coders were the "old beards" in the demo scene who squeezed every ounce of performance out of a Commodore 64 because they loved the craft. At Alekstra
, we bring that same "hacker mindset" to the modern enterprise.

We are building a horizontal data orchestration platform for Fortune 500 brands—the layer that sits across systems like Service Now, Workday, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Intune and turns messy, non-standard data into something AI can actually trust.

This role exists because dashboards and reports don t solve the hard problems. Foundations do.

Enterprise data is an "insane" mosaic. You ll find a Serial Number in Apple Business Manager
, a contract date in a Verizon portal, and an employee record in Workday
. They don t talk to each other.

We need a Data Alchemist to be the "architect of the glue." You won t just move tickets in Jira; you will dig into unfamiliar datasets, question assumptions, and understand the underlying business logic—even when it s poorly documented. You ll use Python and AI-native workflows (Cursor, Claude, Agents) to turn this chaos into a unified, governed data layer.

• Platform & Horizontal Work: Design orchestration flows across giants like SAP and Intune. Uncover structure and semantics in imperfect data to ensure it is a trustworthy foundation for LLMs.
• Vertical Workflows: Map how data moves through real enterprise workflows. Translate business rules and contracts into computable data representations.
• AI-Heavy Productivity: Operate as an "AI-native" engineer. Use agentic workflows to automate the boilerplate so you can focus on high-level architecture and 10x output.
• Co-Founder Mindset: You ll help decide not just how data is processed, but what it should mean.

• The Tinkerer: You have a history of "hobby projects"—whether you were in the 80s demo scene or you spend your weekends hacking hardware. You do this because you love the "species."
• The Detective: You care about Correctness over Convenience
  . You follow data back to its source and care about how decisions propagate downstream.
• Pragmatically Brilliant: You have the technical depth of a senior engineer but aren t at the "extreme nert" end of the scale. You can manage yourself and align with business goals.
• Location: Remote within Finland (with hybrid options for the "ATK-kerho" spirit).

• SQL, Python, or similar for data exploration.
• Experience with APIs and enterprise systems (Workday, Service Now, etc.).
• A fascination with structure, semantics, and real-world systems.
