Assures the smooth operation of all computer and network systems in Grand Portage. Duties include troubleshooting of PCs, Network, Server and software applications. Provide end users training on proper use of PC hardware and software applications. Exercises independent judgment and decision making in the diagnoses and resolution of computer hardware and software problems. Must possess the ability to interact with all levels of employees and resolve problems in a controlled and expedient manner.

Proven ability to operate under pressure and successfully handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline.

Associate’s Degree in a computer technical or related field or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred on duty training available.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
