The Epicor ERP Manager is responsible for the strategic administration, optimization, and support of the Epicor ERP system within a precision manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary business systems leader, partnering with manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, customer service, and finance teams to maximize ERP effectiveness, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth.
This is accomplished through the following essential functions:
ERP System Management- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Epicor ERP system.
- Manage system configuration, security, workflows, business rules, and user access.
- Lead ERP upgrades, patches, testing, and deployment activities.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and data integrity.
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes through ERP functionality.
- Support and optimize:
- Job Management
- Scheduling and Finite Capacity Planning
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Inventory Control
- Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
- Shop Floor Data Collection Quality Management
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) integrations
- Drive standardization of manufacturing workflows and business processes.
- Manage integrations between Epicor and:
- CAD/CAM systems
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- MES solutions
- EDI platforms
- Shipping and logistics systems
- CRM applications
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party consultants on system enhancements.
- Develop and maintain:
- BAQs (Business Activity Queries)
- Dashboards
- SSRS reports
- KPI scorecards
- Executive reporting tools
- Support data-driven decision making across operations, finance, and sales
- Lead ERP implementation and continuous improvement projects.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications.
- Support acquisition integrations and business expansion initiatives when applicable.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 ERP support.
- Develop training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Train employees on ERP best practices and new functionality.
- Promote user adoption and process compliance.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards.
- Monitor accuracy of:
- Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Routings
- Part Masters
- Inventory Records
- Vendor and Customer Data
- Support audit and compliance requirements.
- ERP system uptime and performance.
- MRP accuracy and planning effectiveness.
- Inventory accuracy.
- Manufacturing throughput improvements.
Reduction in manual processes. - User satisfaction and adoption rates.
- Successful delivery of ERP enhancement projects.
- Successfully complete a criminal background check.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as business needs dictate.
- Epicor Kinetic experience.
- Experience in aerospace, medical device, defense, automotive, or other precision manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with CAD/CAM and engineering change processes.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Azure, APIs, and system integrations.
- Epicor certifications.
- 5+ years of Epicor ERP experience.
- 3+ years supporting manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of:
- Precision machining
- Make-to-order manufacturing
- Job costing
- Production scheduling
- Inventory control
- Supply chain management
- Experience with SQL, BAQs, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
