Software Engineer For Service Now Hardware Asset Management
Remote
6+ month contract
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer with recent hands-on implementation experience in Service Now Hardware Asset Management (HAM), specifically on the Yokohama release. This role will play a critical part in optimizing our hardware asset lifecycle processes and ensuring seamless integration across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a passion for delivering scalable Service Now solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support recent Service Now HAM implementation efforts, including configuration, customization, and deployment on the Yokohama release.
- Design and develop HAM workflows, business rules, and integrations to support hardware lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with best practices.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance across the CMDB and HAM modules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HAM functionality, performance, and integrations.
- Stay up-to-date with Service Now platform enhancements, especially those introduced in the Yokohama release.
- Provide documentation, training, and support to end users and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of Service Now development experience, with a strong focus on Hardware Asset Management.
- Proven track record of recent HAM implementation on the Yokohama release.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and Service Now scripting.
- Experience with CMDB, Discovery, and integration with third-party asset tools.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and asset lifecycle management.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator; HAM certification strongly preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with Service Now Flow Designer and Integration Hub.
- Knowledge of software asset management (SAM) and IT operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
