Chisago County is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to provide advanced cyber security related services for our interconnected E-911 and CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems) networks. The list below further defines the tasks and requirements as listed in the attached Senior Infrastructure Engineer job description.
Examples of the work are, but not limited to:
- 1) Cisco firewall configuration and management.
- 2) Nessus or equivalent vulnerability scanning and remediation.
- 3) Cisco core routers configuration and management.
- 4) Cisco switch configuration and management.
- 5) Patch management.
- 6) Vulnerability research and remediation for any interconnected equipment or software.
- 7) Identification of vulnerabilities and remediation for the Chisago County E-911 system.
- 8) Ability to create detailed technical documentation and reporting.
- 9) Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and configure layer 3 networking.
- 10) Experience with hardware / software IDS/IPS technology.
- 11) Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows based systems.
- 12) Experience with VMware server infrastructure.

JOB LOCATION: Chisago County Government, Center City MN
Contributes to the fulfillment of the County mission and vision by planning, designing and maintaining programs, policies, and management systems in all facets of the county computer systems. Provides support of information technology and software application initiatives across the county systems.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position works collaboratively with management and staff to achieve appropriate delivery of computer and network objectives to meet the business needs of the County. Under general direction, the position ensures that staff assigned to different facets of the computer network systems performs all procedures necessary to appropriately protect systems and data from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Interfaces with user community to understand their IT needs, prepares and recommends draft procedures, and products to accommodate them.
Oversees, and is one of the staff responsible for the configuration and management of the core network services and devices. This position provides day to day mentoring to other Infrastructure Services staff. Leads IT projects and assures that the appropriate resources are assigned to the IT projects, as well as coordinates the timelines, deliverables and project schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
:
A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Information Systems is required, with at least 2 years of computer systems security administration experience preferred.
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Requires a minimum of a two-year certificate in data processing, computer science, microcomputer or related field, and 4 years of experience or:
Seven years of progressive experience in work related directly to Network Security, Microsoft networking, PC’s and related technologies; or a combination of experience and college to equal 6 years.
*** Successful completion of a CJIS background check. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1) Works with professionalism, integrity, respect and innovation as a member of the Infrastructure Services team within IT Services to deliver service to our customers.
2) Develops and maintains practices to protect the integrity, accuracy, confidentiality and recoverability of data and information across County.
3) Preforms duties as listed in the Infrastructure Engineer job description.
4) Develops, coordinates, and manages security practices standardization, business continuation, service, and security methods, approaches, policies and procedures across the County systems.
