AI Security Engineering Manager

As Cargill's AI Security Engineering Manager, you will lead the design and implementation of security for AI/ML platforms that power global agriculture and food supply chains. Partnering with IT, cybersecurity, and data science teams, you will define strategy, build secure architectures, integrate controls into MLOps, and oversee monitoring and incident response to protect models, data, and infrastructure. You will mentor engineers, drive secure-by-design practices, and support compliance with global regulations-advancing Cargill's mission of safe, sustainable, and innovative food systems.

Responsibilities

• Own AI/ML security strategy for Cargill's agriculture and food platforms, aligning with business and regulatory needs.
• Lead and mentor a security engineering team securing data, models, and pipelines across cloud and on prem environments.
• Design and implement controls for model integrity, data protection, and responsible AI usage.
• Integrate security into MLOps, CI/CD, and SDLC in partnership with IT, data science, and product teams.
• Conduct AI-specific threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews of new solutions and vendors.
• Oversee monitoring, detection, and incident response for AI-related threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and socialize security standards, reference architectures, and playbooks for AI systems.
• Collaborate with governance, privacy, and compliance teams on global regulations impacting AI and data.
• Champion a culture of secure innovation through training, guidance, and technical leadership.
