Description

We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to provide onsite infrastructure support for a contract opportunity. This position is well suited for a versatile IT specialist who can manage day-to-day operational needs while strengthening core systems across the environment. The role offers the chance to work across servers, virtualization, networking, identity tools, and user-facing technologies in a hands-on setting.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the performance, maintenance, and administration of VMware vSphere environments to keep virtual infrastructure reliable and efficient.

- Manage Windows Server systems and other on-premises platforms, ensuring stable operation, updates, and ongoing support.

- Coordinate software distribution, endpoint upkeep, and patching activities across devices using enterprise management tools.

- Diagnose and resolve network-related issues involving switching, VLAN configuration, routing concepts, and subnet connectivity.

- Administer identity services by supporting Active Directory, account provisioning, group policy management, and related access controls.

- Support Google Workspace administration and help maintain integrations between cloud and local systems.

- Assist with telephony support, including the upkeep and improvement of Mitel-based communication platforms.

- Contribute to infrastructure upgrade efforts, including identity automation initiatives and deployment of security and access control technologies.

- Troubleshoot escalated technical problems spanning servers, applications, devices, and cross-platform integrations while documenting solutions and procedures.

Requirements - At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in a systems administration or IT infrastructure role.

- Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Windows Server in an on-premises environment.

- Practical experience administering VMware vSphere and maintaining virtual server environments.

- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals such as VLANs, switching, subnets, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.

- Ability to work across multiple technical areas, including endpoint management, server support, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

- Experience with Active Directory administration and user or policy management.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide effective technical support in a service-focused environment.

- Familiarity with technologies such as Windows 10, Dell hardware, Citrix, and related enterprise systems is beneficial. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
