Crop Insurance Agent​/Commodity Broker

Northern Ag a division of Border Bank is seeking a motivated and growth-oriented Crop Insurance Agent/Commodity Broker to join our team in Roseau, Minnesota. • General knowledge of and experience in agriculture, insurance, sales, and/or marketing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Obtain a Minnesota insurance license by successfully passing the MN agent licensing exam and the Series 3 exam to become a licensed AP (broker) within the first 12 months of employment (all licensing fees paid by Northern Ag).
• Building and managing a personal crop insurance client portfolio.
• Supporting and servicing existing crop insurance customers.
• Developing and expanding a commodity marketing client base.
• Assisting current marketing clients with their risk management and marketing needs.
• Preparing and distributing weekly analytical market assessments for clients.
• Supporting local advertising and promotional campaigns.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
