SummaryThis role owns forecasting, scheduling, and planning to ensure on‑time delivery across the tool shop, production floor, and warehouse. You will manage labor planning, optimize capacity, and make daily decisions that influence customer service and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do- Own Company Planning
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the master production schedule across all brands and departments.
- Plan ahead to balance workload, labor, and priorities based on customer demand.
- Host Sales and Operations (S & O) meetings to update forecasts consistently.
- Maintain accurate ERP data, including lead time, must‑start dates, and safety stock.
- Ensure work is aligned to meet on‑time delivery goals.
- Communicate with Customer Service, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, and Shipping to streamline order fulfillment.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify issues that impact delivery, inventory, or efficiency and resolve them or elevate them for support.
- Act quickly to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track schedule performance using KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to identify successes and gaps.
- 7+ years’ experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment; at least 3 years in master planning.
- CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification through APICS (or similar).
- Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Solid communication skills and a focus on proactive, cross‑departmental collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable making decisions and adjusting plans in real time.
- Robust history with ERP/MRP systems, skillfully adjusting data for accurate work‑order planning.
- Strong proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Owns outcomes—takes responsibility for results, not just tasks.
- Think ahead—plans proactively instead of reacting.
- Strong with data—analyzes inventory, schedules, and priorities.
- Comfortable with urgency and fast decision making.
- Communicates clearly and proactively across teams.
