Position Summary
Gladen Construction, Inc. is seeking a motivated and organized Parts Manager / Parts Specialist to support our fleet of heavy construction equipment and trucks. The role involves sourcing, purchasing, receiving, inventorying, and distributing parts needed to maintain equipment across multiple job sites throughout Minnesota and North Dakota.
Key Responsibilities- Source and procure parts for heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and support vehicles.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts shipments.
- Coordinate with mechanics and field supervisors to identify parts requirements.
- Research parts using manufacturer websites and parts books.
- Process warranty claims and returns when applicable.
- Track equipment maintenance parts usage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts inventory.
- Assist with vendor relationships and negotiate pricing when appropriate.
- Support emergency parts needs for active construction projects.
- Previous experience in heavy equipment, diesel truck, agricultural equipment, or construction equipment parts.
- Strong computer skills and ability to use inventory management systems.
- Ability to read parts diagrams and equipment manuals.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- CDL a plus but not required.
- Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo or similar heavy equipment parts knowledge.
- Construction industry experience.
- Inventory control and purchasing experience.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in warehouse and shop environments.
- Occasional travel to job sites for parts delivery or inventory management.
