Custodian

Lou-Rich is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout our facilities and ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained atmosphere for staff and visitors.

As a Custodian, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the Lou‑Rich Inc. offices and areas within the manufacturing plant using established practices and procedure.

• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers: recycling bins; refill restroom dispensers; clean/sanitize restrooms and break rooms.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, events, etc.
• Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, brooms, and mops for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Wash walls, equipment and appliances; use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Assist in moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis.
• Good interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, and organization.
• Support and enforce all Lou‑Rich Inc. policies and procedures.
• Perform cleaning and janitorial duties, limited grounds maintenance, and minor repair work.
• Report needs for major repairs to supervisor.
• Keep janitor's room neat and orderly, and report supply orders to Supervisor.
• Clean snow from entrances and sidewalks.
• Ensure duties are maintained to a satisfactory level.
• Assist in checking facility for safety hazards and report any deficiency.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Applicable training will be completed by following the syllabi (Human Resources, Safety, IFS - Timeclock, IFS - Navigation, ISO) for each new hire and that will be verified by the Employee Orientation & Job Qualification form within the first 60 days of employment. Additional applicable training will be completed by following the individual’s assigned department training matrix, Maintenance (F).
• Follow training syllabus (Technical from above list). Effectiveness of training guidelines will be determined by employee knowledge and demonstration of learned concepts. Additional training after the first several weeks of on‑the‑job training will be determined by the Supervisor in preparation to operate on their own as needed. Any follow‑up training will be evaluated and provided at the 60‑day review or as deemed necessary for the position.
