DescriptionLou‑Rich is currently seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout our facilities. Essential Functions- Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers, including recycling bins.
- Refill restroom dispensers; clean and sanitize restrooms and break rooms.
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, events, etc.
- Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, brooms, and mops for floor, wall, carpet, and furniture maintenance.
- Wash walls, equipment, and appliances; use ladders when required.
- Assist in moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, and organization.
- Support and enforce all Lou‑Rich Inc. policies and procedures.
- Perform cleaning and janitorial duties, limited grounds maintenance, and minor repair work.
- Report needs for major repairs to supervisor.
- Keep janitor's room neat and orderly, and report supply orders to supervisor.
- Cleans snow from entrances and sidewalks.
- Ensure duties are maintained to a satisfactory level.
- Assist in checking the facility for safety hazards and report any deficiencies.
- Perform related duties as required.

- Complete the required training syllabi (Human Resources, Safety, IFS – Timeclock, IFS – Navigation, ISO) for each new hire within the first 60 days of employment.
- Complete additional departmental training as assigned in the Maintenance (F4400‑038) matrix.
- Follow the specified training syllabus and demonstrate knowledge and application of learned concepts.
- Receive follow‑up training as needed during the 60‑day review or per supervisor determination.
Regularly required to use hands or fingers, talk and hear. Frequently required to bend, stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms for extended periods. Must climb stairs/ladders or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl. Required to move heavy objects and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs; push or pull objects up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
