VP Specialty Sales- Textiles

Job Summary

Work with Executive Sales Management to develop sales solutions for our customers and to grow sales and margin for Medline. Manage the sales/account team.

• Create innovative programs and strategies for customers to differentiate Medline in the marketplace.
• Participate in overall product strategy and conceptual program development.
• Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing new products.
• Maintain national sales team results by coaching and motivating employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Track sales team metrics, monitoring sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
• Identify/monitor market trends that affect sales, service, and product development.

• Typical manage through multiple Managers.
• Provides leadership and management to one or more major departments of an operating unit or to a department that has system-wide accountability.
• Strategic, tactical, and operational planning (12+ months) for the function or department.
• Direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments, functions or major projects/programs.
• Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.
• Hire staff, recommend pay increases, perform performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
• At least 10 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Position requires travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

• Salary range: $ - $ per year. Actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
• This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
