Health And Human Services Operations Director
The Health and Human Services Operations Leader provides day-to-day leadership, management, and operational oversight for the County's Health and Human Services Department. This position ensures continuity of services, supports staff and supervisors, oversees departmental operations, and advances strategic priorities while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
The County is currently exploring a shared leadership model with a neighboring county. Under the current structure, this position serves as the primary operational leader for the department. If a shared leadership model is implemented, the position will function as an Assistant Director/Deputy Director, providing local operational leadership and administrative oversight while partnering with a shared Health and Human Services Director who provides strategic and executive leadership across participating counties.
In either model, the Operations Director serves as a key member of the leadership team, ensuring effective service delivery, staff support, organizational stability, and strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Public Administration, Social Work, Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field and at least six (6) years of related experience with three (3) years of supervisory experience including leading teams, managing operations, and implementing organizational improvements.
Salary & Benefits
The 2026 starting salary for this position is $113,630, depending on qualifications, with advancement to $157,289.
