Director Of Bethesda North Pointe

The Housing Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, occupancy growth, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and resident experience at Bethesda North Pointe. This position provides strategic and day-to-day oversight of the community, ensuring high-quality housing, services, and programming that support resident well-being, engagement, and satisfaction. The Housing Director serves as the primary leader for resident relations, admissions, service coordination, accounts receivable, resident billing, and community enhancements.

The position oversees building operations in partnership with the maintenance team and provides leadership to nursing, housekeeping, culinary, and administrative support functions to ensure a safe, welcoming, and resident-centered environment.

This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with Minnesota Assisted Living regulations, Housing with Services requirements, landlord-tenant laws, and all applicable organizational policies and procedures. The Housing Director monitors operational and financial performance, manages resources responsibly, and works within approved budgets to achieve organizational goals and maintain high standards of quality and service.

The Housing Director collaborates with Bethesda leadership and support teams to drive occupancy growth through marketing, community outreach, tours, events, referral development, and prospect management. The Housing Director also partners in the development and implementation of Housing Division policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives that support growth, compliance, operational excellence, and resident satisfaction.

As a leader within the community, the Housing Director promotes Bethesda's mission, values, and culture while fostering meaningful connections with residents, families, team members, referral partners, and the broader community. This position plays a key role in advancing resident and employee engagement while supporting organization-wide initiatives that enhance quality of life, fulfillment, and organizational success.

Reports to:

Vice President of Senior Services

Interrelationships with:
Regional Director of Clinical Operations and Compliance, Housing Directors, Director of Bethesda at Home, Club Bethesda and Adult Day Services

Supervisory responsibilities:

Office Coordinator, Receptionist/Scheduling Coordinator, Head Chef, Housekeeping Lead, and RN Case Manager

External Contacts:
Visitors, families, physicians, pharmacies, and discharge planners

Salaried position, typically business hours Monday-Friday with some flexibility. May need to work some evenings and weekends to accommodate staff and prospective residents and families.

Professional dress appropriate to a business environment.

Education and Training:
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years of experience within the continuum of long-term services and supports, including one (1) year in a supervisory or management role; OR
  • Associate degree plus one (1) year of experience within the continuum of long-term services and supports, including six (6) months in a supervisory or management role; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher plus six (6) months of supervisory or management experience within the continuum of long-term services and supports.
  • Assisted Living Director License preferred at time of hire.

    Must obtain Assisted Living Director Licensure within one year of employment if not currently licensed.

    Two to five years of management or leadership experience.

    Demonstrated success in relationship management and customer service.

    Knowledge of Minnesota housing regulations, home care requirements, and landlord-tenant laws.

    Experience working with older adults and senior living communities.

    Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and operational performance.

    Strong leadership and team development skills.

    Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

    Strong organizational and time management skills.
