Job Description

This position is a key contributor to the Bayport Doors Manufacturing Quality Support Team. Focus on executing daily Quality Control Activities in the Wood and Coatings areas, which in turn support the entire Doors Manufacturing Operations Team to achieve the delivery and cost targets.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Production Associates and Quality Engineers to support 2nd shift quality efforts including communication with first and 1st and 3rd shifts.
  • 80%+ of time spent in production areas to for auditing, problem solving, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in a cross-functional Tier structure with Quality responsibility for metrics & actions. Provide input and analysis within Root Cause & Corrective Actions.
  • Verify Quality Control standards are followed. Ensure measurement equipment is being used properly by operators to verify process results. Identify & implement improvement opportunities to reduce measurement error.
  • Communicate, document, and help train operators on quality requirements.
  • Led structured projects to implement process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2 or more years of Quality/Manufacturing experience, preferably in window and door industry.
  • Strong aptitude in problem solving and process improvement with intermediate math skills
  • Basic knowledge of quality/lean manufacturing, quality systems, process capability analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to summarize data and findings, present results, and train others.
  • Proficient use of Windows PC’s with including the use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and SharePoint to access and edit documents.
Pay Range

$24.45 - $35.45

    In 2025 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
