Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Purpose:
Conduct training for production employees in the production area based on need or request.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
* Participate in needs analysis for production employees (new and current) to determine training needs within the production area.
* Consult with production management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, processes, regulations and technologies.
* Collaborate with leadership and HR to evaluate methods to determine effectiveness of production training.
* Conduct hands on training at the work center with production employees covering areas such as work center process flow, inspection methods and quality tools, on-the-job training, statistical process control, use of computers and software for production and overall skills development for machine operators.
* Report on progress of production employees to production management and HR.
* Continually review effectiveness of training and revise and enhance methods to improve effectiveness.
* Attend meetings, educational conferences, seminars, webinars or workshops to maintain and continuously build knowledge and training competence.
* Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on TEAM QMS objectives.
* Ability to perform Production floor audits as needed
* Verify quality of parts as need is determined by the QA Dept.
* Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
* Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience
* Preferred: 5+ years of experience in manual and CNC machine operations in a manufacturing environment
* Preferred: 6 months of trainer and/or coaching experience in a manufacturing environment
* Preferred:
One year certificate from college or technical school or 1 year of related experience in training
* Preferred:
Some leadership experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Some travel may be required, up to 10%.
* High mechanical aptitude.
* Strong blueprint reading, GD & T and interpretation skills.
* Strong micrometer, caliper and gage usage skills.
* Strong understanding of general machining concepts, programming and processes.
* Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with all levels of the organization.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal customers.
* Computer
Skills:
Microsoft Office products, manufacturing software, machine controls.
Training:
Reference OJT
Physical Demands
* Ability to interact with a variety of people at all levels in the organization.
* Ability to address individual or small groups of employees using various types of media.
* Ability to speak clearly, listen effectively and respond well to questions.
