Manufacturing Production, Assembly
The Assembler assembles and performs visual inspection of parts and package parts for shipment to customers. You also follow established production/process specifications or instructions. The Assembler also performs manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, ban, tie pack and/or wrap containers with products and materials.
Schedule & Compensation:Plastech Corporation pays on a weekly basis. This position is scheduled Monday thru Friday.
- 1st Shift
· 7:00am to 3:30pm · $16.00 per hour
Essential Functions:
- Properly assemble, pack, label and stack each shipping container with finished product. Maintain assembly labor tickets and box count to ensure customer receives accurate order.
- Visually inspect each part, compare parts to start-up to ensure customer receives a quality product.
- Read, understand and follow picture packet procedures, operate a variety of machines to complete product to customer specification.
- Assist other operators as directed by the supervisor, and ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Certifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is helpful but not required.
- Read and interpret documents such as Picture Packet, procedure manual, and safety rules.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
- Fill out general communication paperwork in written form legibly so as to be understood.
- Problem solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, and maintain necessary communication.
