We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wood Finisher to join our team. As a Wood Finisher, you will be responsible for applying finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring quality and attention to detail in every project. This role requires a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and an eye for aesthetics. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various finishing techniques and demonstrate strong problem‑solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare wooden surfaces for finishing by cleaning, sanding, and examining them.
  • Mix and apply stains, paints, varnishes, and other finishes according to project requirements.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to achieve desired finishes.
  • Inspect finished surfaces for smoothness, uniformity, and any blemishes, making corrections as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide input and suggestions to improve finishing techniques and processes.
  • Keep track of inventory and request materials and supplies as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Wood Finisher or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of different wood types and finishing materials.
  • Ability to match colors and apply finishes with precision.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools associated with wood finishing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in woodworking or a related field.
  • Experience with custom furniture finishing or restoration work.
