Job Description

Your role

Your tasks will include developing and validating production equipment cleaning processes to make them faster and more cost efficient, as well as handling production batch records (intermediate and final products, as well as cleaning processes) and investigating related deviations.

Other possible tasks will be assigned as your skills develop.

You will be responsible for the quality of production and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within your area, as well as their continuous improvement. You will become part of the production organization at Fermion’s Hanko plant.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Relevant technical education (e.g., Engineer or M.Sc. in Technology)
  • Previous work experience in industrial tasks
  • Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and/or process technology
  • Good documentation skills and proficiency in using information systems
  • Strong verbal and written skills in both Finnish and English. Our working language is Finnish

Your new team

Fermion Oy is a subsidiary of Orion and develops and produces all active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for Orion's in-house developed innovative medicines and for some of Orion's branded, generic and animal health products. Fermion also develops and produces a series of generic APIs for various indications and is active as CDMO, contract development and manufacturing organization, to serve other pharmaceutical companies.

The company has produced APIs in Hanko, Finland since 1973, and the plant currently has personnel of 180. The company's Oulu plant commenced operations back in 1964 and currently employs more than 100 professionals. Fermion’s head office is in Espoo where R&D, S&M and part of QM personnel are located. Altogether approximately 400 professionals work for Fermion.

You will be part of a team consisting of production professionals at the Hanko plant. You will also work closely with the plant’s maintenance and project organization.
