Position SummarySeneca Foods Corporation's Glencoe, MN facility is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor. The facility focuses primarily on Canning and Freezing of peas, lima beans, sweet corn, and carrots. The peak production season typically starts mid-June and wraps up mid-November.
Key Responsibilities- Performs audits to monitor compliance with all GMP standards, Food Safety Standards, Food Safety issues, case and label procedures and safety programs.
- Supervises employees on the assigned shift.
- Reviews and organises plant processing records for conformance with regulations and company policy prior to review by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Provides employee training for fill control, sanitation, can seams, grading and statistical process control.
- Performs audits to monitor the sanitary conditions within the manufacturing facility.
- Performs investigations of causes for any spoilage issues.
- Participates in food safety audits as required.
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or a related field is preferred. One to two years of supervisory experience would be beneficial. Certified or able to become certified in Better Process Control School, Thermal Processing and Container Closure.
CompensationStarting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $65,000 to $75,000 per year.
