Gravy Operator 2nd Shift Responsibilities
- Mix gravy solution
- Set up and tear down the gravy machine
- Adjust the gravy machine as needed
- Take out garbage
- Haul cardboard
- Complete required paperwork
- Obtain a pallet jack and forklift license within the first two weeks on the job
- Able to read and write English
- Able to lift 50‑pound bags of ingredients
- Basic math skills are a must
- Able to use ladders safely
- Flexible with start times of work as they may vary with production needs
- Able to keep area organized and clean
- Able to do light maintenance
- Able to work independently
- Willingness to help in other areas when there is no gravy to make
The plant has a range of working conditions depending on the department. Most positions operate in temperatures around 40°F, while some areas may be slightly warmer or colder depending on the process. As a harvesting facility, certain natural byproducts of processing such as blood or internal materials may be visible in some areas. Majority of roles involve repetitive movements such as twisting, turning, reaching, and pulling, require standing on concrete floors or workstation platforms for 8 to 10 hours, and the ability to lift to 35 pounds.
ScheduleCore business hours: 5:00 pm – 2:00 am. Can vary with production needs, Monday‑Friday & weekends when needed.
Pay Range: $20.60/HR
