Set up and operate a wide variety of machine tools to the instrument manufacturer's specification of accuracy;
Fabricate, fit, and assemble parts to required tolerances using metallic and nonmetallic materials;
Read and interpret engineering drawings, machine prints, and vendor diagrams to determine tolerances;
Apply safe work methods to prevent personal injury and equipment damage;
Maintain knowledge of materials and machine tool principles to support fabrication, rebuilding, and repair of machines
