Production Manager, Manufacturing Production, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma

The Team Lead II will provide daily work direction of the production line through effective communication and completion of manufacturing operations tasks while applying AMS tools. Identify process and resource constraints and utilize appropriate decision‑making and problem‑solving techniques to resolve and meet SQDC metrics. Provide feedback, coaching, and training to production employees. The team lead will oversee daily work direction for a production department of 5–40 production associates.
PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance). Identify issues, engage the Tier 1 team in process or problem resolution, and, when appropriate, engage the Tier 2 team. Partner with Value Stream Supervisors.
- Facilitate training and development of production employees, providing clear expectations of performance, AMS, quality, and safety. Provide coaching and feedback. Maintain a cross‑training matrix to effectively utilize employee capabilities and coordinate their movement to meet business needs.
- Lead and support AMS projects and initiatives to improve business metrics. Maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, CI boards, and Tier 1 boards) to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement. Participate in problem‑solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA).
- Demonstrate leadership in communication, conflict resolution, process constraints and problem‑solving. Lead and effectively communicate at the daily Tier 1 meeting to encourage employee participation and engagement.
- Provide support to other production areas as needed, including project support, leader coverage, and cycle‑counting responsibilities.
- Complete standard‑work and control‑plan audits, including safety, finished‑goods quality, scrap, and standard‑work. Participate in and complete corrective actions from the MCA process.
- Follow and consistently enforce all safety procedures according to standards, proactively addressing safety concerns and taking appropriate action.
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge and application of continuous‑improvement processes such as 5 S and problem‑solving methods (Lean training or certification preferred).
- Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, change‑over and set‑up skills, and preventative‑maintenance techniques, and basic machine diagnostic skills. Understand interdependencies across the value stream.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying constraints or barriers, problem‑solving, delegation, and sound decision‑making.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with others. Flexible, self‑motivated, and lifelong learner with demonstrated initiative.
Pay Range
: $24.95 – $36.15 per hour

In 2026 Andersen has set a profit‑sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments tied to quarterly operating‑profit performance.
