Job Description
The Team Lead will provide daily work direction of the production line through effective communication and completion of manufacturing operations tasks while applying AMS tools. They will identify process and resource constraints and utilize decision‑making and problem‑solving techniques to resolve issues and meet SQDC metrics, providing feedback, coaching, and training to production employees. The team lead will oversee daily work direction for a production department of 5‑40 associates.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Ensure continuous production flow to meet planned output while following operations standards of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and maintenance. Identify issues, engage the Tier 1 team in process resolution, and escalate to Tier 2 when required. Partner with Value Stream Supervisors.
- Facilitate training and development of production employees, setting clear performance expectations, AMS, quality, and safety guidelines. Provide coaching and feedback. Maintain a cross‑training matrix to utilize employee capabilities and coordinate movement of employees to meet business needs.
- Improve business metrics by leading and supporting AMS projects and initiatives. Maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, CI boards, Tier 1 boards) to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement. Participate in problem solving using AMS methodology (5‑Why, PDCA, MCA).
- Demonstrate leadership in communication, conflict resolution, process constraints, and problem solving. Lead and communicate effectively at the daily Tier 1 meeting to encourage employee participation.
- Support other production areas as needed, including project support, leader coverage, and cycle‑count responsibilities.
- Complete standard work and control‑plan audits, including safety, finished‑goods quality, scrap, and standard work. Participate in corrective actions from the MCA process.
- Enforce all safety procedures, proactively address safety concerns, and take action or follow up when appropriate.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge and application of continuous‑improvement processes (5‑S, problem‑solving methods). Lean training or certification preferred.
- Knowledge of operations products, processes, equipment, safety, quality, changeover, setup skills, preventative‑maintenance techniques, and basic machine diagnostic skills. Understanding interdependencies across the value stream.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees.
- Strong problem‑solving, delegation, decision‑making, and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, lifelong learner, flexible, and proactive.
$22.25 – $32.25 per hour

In 2026, Andersen has set a profit‑sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing is paid quarterly and tied to operating profit performance.
