Quality Control Lab Technician – Tuffy's Pet Foods

Mid Shift – Monday to Friday (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm)

• Base Pay: $20.96 per hour
• Sign‑on Bonus: $1.22 per hour
• Shift Differential (6%): $1.26 per hour
• Hourly Total: $23.44 per hour
• Profit Sharing Eligibility:
  Begins after 1 year of employment (US $7.7 million available in 2025)

• Follow all procedures to ensure safe execution of duties.
• Operate lab testing equipment (LECO Protein Analyzer, pH meter, water activity, NIR).
• Know Safety Data Sheets for lab chemicals and wear proper safety protection.
• Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and subordinate groups.
• Perform quality checks on finished products from production lines.
• Collect samples for analytical testing and product cuttings.
• Collect and retain samples of all products produced.
• Make recommendations for lab improvements.
• Work in other facility areas if required.

• General mathematical ability and basic computer skills.
• Self‑motivation with good judgment and reasoning abilities.
• Work shifts as required and maintain a safe work record.
• Good attitude and familiarity with specialized lab equipment.
• Ability to climb to working heights above 20 ft and work in dusty environments.
• Capable of lifting over 50 lbs and walking/standing continuously.
• Comfortable in hot/cold and loud environments with occasional bending, stooping, crouching, carrying, and lifting.
