Job Summary (English)

Farmers Union Industries, LLC (FUI), a leading agricultural‑based manufacturing company headquartered in Redwood Falls, MN, is hiring an Expeller to work the 2nd shift. The position is located in the Central Bi‑Products facility in Long Prairie, MN, where multi‑species by‑products are converted into high‑quality feed ingredients and other consumer and industrial products.

Starting wage: $24.97 per hour. Additional $1 per hour for night shift and $2 per hour for weekend shift. Regular pay increases plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401(k) match.

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 pm – 12:00 am (midnight)
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 12:00 am – 8:00 am
• Weekend: hours may be required or voluntary.

• Operate and monitor grease clarification systems, including valves, pumps, and tank levels.
• Use valves and pumps to blend, heat, and transfer grease between storage tanks.
• Collect, label, and store grease samples.
• Safely operate material handling equipment for unloading trucks.
• Record meter readings and water levels on boilers, steam pressure systems, air, and wastewater treatment equipment.
• Provide backup support to panel operators as needed.
• Report concerns, accidents, downtime, or cost‑saving measures to foreman.
• Follow all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements, including environmental and food/feed safety.
• Maintain positive relationships and assist other production or maintenance personnel.
• Perform general housekeeping to keep work area clean.
• Maintain regular on‑site attendance.
• Additional tasks may arise; extra hours or heavier workload may be expected.

• Experience in food/feed production (preferred).
• In‑house forklift certification; experience with backing trailers or operating skid steers and forklifts preferred.
• Ability to remain alert and focused over extended periods.
• Basic computer system operation skills.
• Accurately read and understand signs, labels, warnings, directions, and operator manuals.
• Proficiency in reading data trends and recording information accurately and legibly.
• Must be comfortable working in a facility processing cows, pigs, and poultry.
• Willingness to work extra hours as needed during the week or weekend.
• Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes.

• Consistently bend at the waist and/or knees.
• Consistently shovel materials up to 35 pounds.
• Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds from floor to waist level.
• Occasionally climb up to 40‑foot ladders or 75‑foot stairways.
• Tolerate varying environmental conditions, including wet/ slippery surfaces and extreme hot/cold.
