Overview
Welder – Heavy Hydraulic Attachments. Perform welding of all components for manufacturing heavy hydraulic attachments. Position is onsite at Two Harbors, MN. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Sign‑on bonus of $1,200 is available.
Responsibilities- Perform GMAW/MIG/Wire feed welding to AWS D1.1 standards.
- Follow LaBounty procedures and quality and safety policies in a production welding environment.
- Layout, fit‑up, measure and tack weldments.
- Arc air welding (training provided).
- Use PPE and adhere to all safety programs and policies.
- Communicate fully with supervisors and coworkers.
- Document standard work procedures and provide feedback to improve manufacturing processes.
- Close out shop orders and follow the production schedule to facilitate timely part delivery.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area, including end‑of‑shift cleanup per 5S standards.
- Perform autonomous maintenance to keep equipment functional.
- Work in a safety‑sensitive environment.
Hourly wage ranges from $22.00 to $29.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
Knowledge and Education- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of basic weld symbols on blueprints.
- Basic computer skills, MS‑Office:
Excel, Word & Outlook. - Comfortable and knowledgeable use of standard repair and hand tools.
- Able to use tape measure, level, angle finders and squares.
- Understand and follow written and oral procedures and directions.
- Handle materials safely using a Jib hoist, overhead crane and forklifts (including chains, straps and slings).
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Operate welding equipment when assigned.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- Intermittent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, lifting and lowering; intermittent use of hand and wrist.
- Safe handling of materials with cranes, hoists and forklifts is required.
