Weld Tester 1st Shift - Temporary Summer

Overview

MAT Holdings Inc. is seeking a Weld Tester to support our manufacturing of air compressors. The Weld Tester will evaluate the integrity and quality of welds in various materials and products to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications. This role involves inspections, tests, and documenting results to help maintain high quality in our manufacturing processes.

• Test and inspect pressurized tanks by submerging tanks in water or filling larger tanks with water to check for leaks and defects.
• Perform repetitive lifting of materials and product through the process up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a steady pace to keep the welding line running smoothly without bottlenecks.
• Operate air tools, hoists, hand tools, grinders, sanders, weld torch, and related equipment.
• Know and understand blueprints, identify welding defects, and use weld gauges.
• Demonstrate safety consciousness, teamwork, quality-mindedness, good work habits, and attendance.

• Compensation: 18.50 per hour
• First shift positions with schedule of 4 - 10-hour days (6:15 am to 4:45 pm, Monday-Thursday); overtime potential

• High school graduate or GED; training provided
• Welding experience preferred
