Forklift Operator, Manufacturing Production, Material Handler
This position is responsible for sorting hold area slabs, selecting slabs for fabrication, and moving slabs to the necessary line location.
Responsibilities- Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria warehouse work as outlined in the Warehouse SOPs
- Stage material to prepare for inspection of slab
- Sort slabs using an overhead crane and store them in the correct locations
- Ensure that slabs are scanned correctly
- Inspect the overhead crane daily
- Operate a forklift as needed (minimal, no experience required)
- Complete safety inspections of forklift and crane
- Participate in monthly inventory counts
- Communicate with Supervisor to keep them informed of material defects and inventory levels
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Conduct all job-related duties in a safe and responsible manner
- Sense of urgency in completing work
- Cross‑train on multiple types of equipment
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management
- Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to become certified in using a forklift and an overhead crane
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to converse with the general public, read and understand highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and technical procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Critical thinking skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Warehouse experience (preferred)
- Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD (preferred)
- Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Push/pull 100 lbs.
- Stand on concrete for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
- Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
- Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
- Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
- Bend over multiple times throughout shift
- Steel‑toed boots
- Hearing protection
- Cut‑resistant gloves
- Safety glasses
- High‑visibility vest
- Hard hat
- Respirator, if required (must maintain a clean‑shaven face in the sealing area)
Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $19.00–$24.00. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job‑related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
